Happy Holidays, everyone! This month has been a whirlwind of activities for me. I know I am not alone here. I was a tad worried that I would not get to do Tim's tag this month, but I made it in the nick of time!! I had a few challenges along the way of how to accomplish the results I was looking for, as I do not have some of the supplies, but I have learned that this is actually the most fun part of the journey and it awakens my creativity, as opposed to just following along. After all, Tim has been my greatest teacher for a while now, and often my inspiration as well. So, thank you, Tim Holtz! For the tutorial, please click here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-december/
I hope you enjoy my tag creation for December. Also, I wish you a wondrous 2015. Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - November
Hello everyone. This month's Tim tag was a bit of a challenge for me, because I do not yet have the Layered Leaf die. I love his collection of combo die/embossing folder sets, but so far only have the Butterfly. I tried making a tag with a leaf theme, by using thin dies (and I won't bore you with the details of how that ended. Let's just say it was NOT PRETTY). Anyway, I decided I needed a steel rule die, so off I went in search of one that would work. I ended up with more of a Christmas-looking tag, but hey, I'm OK with that!
If you would like to see Tim's tutorial and tag, click here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-november/.
Supplies: #8 manila tag, corrugated cardboard, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Pine Tree Die and Burlap Texture Fade, Gold Embossing Powder and Versamarker (in lieu of the foil sheet), Distress Paints (Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, and Pine Needles for the tree and Walnut Stain, Tarnished Brass and Picket Fence for the splotches), Crinkle Ribbon and black ribbon, and I crafted my own "Here & Now" embellishment by cutting it with my Cricut and Sure Cuts A Lot software.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I would love to hear from you, so feel free to leave a comment. Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - October
Hello World. Here is my Tim Tag for October. My tag has an obvious feline twist to it, as I am happily "owned" by 3 amazing cats. To see Tim's tag and tutorial, you can click here (http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-october/). For my tag I used Tim's CMS113 Mini Halloween 2, Happy Halloween and Mini Worn Text stamp sets. Also, since I still have Ranger's Texture Paste on my wishlist instead of my havelist, I subbed Viva Modeling Cream in Pearl and used Dyan Reaveley's Luscious Leaves stencil. For the mask technique, I cut up an old package from some embossing folders and adhered it using removable tape adhesive. I also used a fragment charm and Tim's Seasonal Paper Stash for my embellishment. I wanted to highlight the cat's eyes, so I colored them with an orange Copic marker and then topped them off with a Wink of Stella pen. The BOO letters are cut from chipboard and stamped using the Worn Text stamps. Of course, I had to spritz the tag with my Distress Marker Spritzer (LOVE that thing!). I couldn't get my Sharpie to spritz much, so I used my Distress Marker in Black Soot. Finally, I added some Idea-ology linen ribbon and jute string and it was done. Now I'm in the mood to make some Halloween cards! Thanks, Tim, for the inspiration! Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - September
Hello and welcome to "Unofficial-End-of-Summer-Unofficial-Start-Of-Fall!" I know that Fall does not really begin until the Autumnal Equinox on September 22, but I am more than ready to dispense with the heat!
Here is my version of the Tim Holtz tag of the month. Instead of butterflies, I decided to go with my favorite embellishment - gears. For my tag, I used the following supplies:
Stamps: Stampers Anonymous Classics#1, Classics#2, Classics#5, Mercantile CMS189, and Stampin Up background stamp "En Francais."
Dies: Sizzix Movers & Shapers Mini Gears Set and Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets
Stencil: Tim Holtz layering stencil THS010 Eye Chart
Card stock: Glossy card stock, black card stock (I made my own tag)
Ranger Archival ink in black
Many different colors of Adirondack alcohol ink
Here is a link to the tutorial I followed to make this tag: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-september/.
I hope you like my tag, and if you have any comments, I would love to hear from you! Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - August
Hi again! I am happy to present to you my version of the Tim Holtz tag of the month for August 2014. What I love most about this tag is the way you can use tissue tape to highlight a focal image on your project. But honestly, I really love everything about this tag. Oh, and the rust technique using Vintage Photo distress embossing powder is pretty cool too. If you would like to see Tim's tag and tutorial, you will find it here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-august/. As always, thank you for visiting my blog, and have a great day. Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - July
Hello everyone! It's getting close to the end of July and I just finished my Tim Holtz tag of the month. I almost didn't make it, because I had absolutely none of the dies and embossing folders that he used. That is unusual for me, since I am a TH addict! But now that it's done, I am very glad I did, because I learned that you can use Distress Paint, Distress Stain AND Distress Ink on a background to get an awesome result! Since I had to improvise all the way here, I went online and snagged some free SVG files for the seahorse, sand dollar and starfish and cut them with my electronic cutting machine. Also, I opted for using some Distress Glitter in Mustard Seed instead of Tim's "sand" and I used Crackle Accents instead of Distress Crackle (which had dried up on me in the jar). The crackle on the seahorse turned out strangely, but that's OK with me! If you would like to see Tim's tag and tutorial, you can click here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-july/. Thank you for visiting. Have a great day! Peace.

Father's Day Card 2014
Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you a Father's Day card that I made which is based on Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - January. I did not make the tag for January (yet), but I love this tag so much that I shamelessly stole Tim's design for this card. If you would like to see Tim's tag and tutorial, you can click here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-january/. Supplies include Sizzix Alterations "Mini Clock Key & Pocket Watch" (Movers & Shapers), Sizzix Alterations "Cargo Stencil Number Set" (Movers & Shapers), Sizzix Alterations "Word Play Alphabet" die, Sizzix Alterations Gear embossing folder, and Stampers Anonymous Cling Stamp Set CMS189 "Mercantile". I am so glad you stopped by. Oh, and BTW, Happy 59th Birthday, Disneyland! Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - June
Hello friends! This month's Tim Tag is all about watercolor, which is really popular right now. I have been having fun with this medium lately. I recently took an online class where I learned tons of ways to use watercolor in my cardmaking. It's pretty amazing what can be done, even as a beginner! The distress colors I chose for this month's tag are Worn Lipstick, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, and Dusty Concord. Thanks for stopping by! Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - May
I'm on a roll! Here is my version of Tim Holtz' May 2014 tag. It was fun digging through my stash of trinkets and embellishments to make this tag. For Tim's tag tutorial, click here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-may/. Thanks for stopping by! Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - April
Hallo! Today I present to you my version of the April 2014 Tim Holtz tag of the month. I love his new Frameworks dies and the fact that you can mix and match the shapes into the frames. Lots of possibilities here, I think! Here is the link to Tim's tutorial: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-april/. I tried to mimic Tim's design and colors for this tag, and even though I am the worst hot glue gun operator in the world, I brought mine out for the "pinecone" roses. I admit that I need to practice on the roses, but I think that they can be beautiful! Thanks for stopping by. Peace.

12 Tags of 2014 - March
Hello world. It's me dusting off the cobwebs of my blog. I am excited to show you my creation for Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - March. If you would like to see the tutorial, here is a link: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-march/. Instead of a tag, I made a card. This is the first time I have used Tim's new Distress Marker Spritzer and I absolutely love it! Other supplies I used were the Nature Walk CMS181 stamp set and the Honeycomb THS005 layering stencil. I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think. Peace.
