Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - December

Hi and Happy Holidays and all that! This month I made my tag with PLENTY of time left - 8 hours left in the month (and the year, for that matter)! HA!

I do not own the greenery punches, so I cut 2 of the laurel wreaths from the Sizzix Alterations Regal Crest die with watercolor paper that I colored with Distress Stain in Pine Needles and Mowed Lawn. I also used the bow from the Sizzix Alterations Packages and Bows die.

This tag came together really easy and it was fun to make. I really love the look of the spray stain-stenciled background on the burlap. Thanks to Tim, as always, for the inspiration!

Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - November

Hello! Yes, it is the very last day of November and I have just finished my November tag. This has to be a new record for me, both in terms of waiting until the last moment and completeing a tag in a really short period of time! Wowza. If you would like to see the inspiration behind the perspiration, you are encouraged to look here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-november/

At any rate, without further ado, here is my version.

Peace.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - October

Hi and welcome. This month, Tim Holtz highlighted his new Zombie die and created a cute and scary tag. The focus for this month is on creating dimension and using the tried-and-true "wrinkle-free distress" technique.

Since I do not have the Zombie die, I created a Halloween scene using 5 different Sizzix dies: Crescent Moon and Stars, Holly Branch, Mini Acorn & Pumpkin, Mini Cat & Raven, and Pumpkins #2.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - September

Hello. The tag for September 2015 is quite nice. It was great fun to make and contains many interesting layers. If I had seen it without the instructions, I would have probably thought "How did he do THAT?" I amazed myself when it was all done. Hence, the sentiment that I chose: "Amaze Yourself." These are good words to ponder every now and then, I suppose.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - August

Lately I find myself heading closer and closer to the world of mixed media techniques and art journaling. So, this month's Tim Tag was just perfect timing for me. I enjoyed the process of making this tag from start to finish. Supplies used: Layered Bee and Mixed Media dies (Sizzix), Distress Inks, Distress Stains, Distress Markers, Archival ink, Glue n Seal, Perfect Pearls spray (Ranger), various stamps (Stampers Anonymous), gesso,  manila tag, patterned paper, cardstock, watercolor paper.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - July

Hi there. This month's Tim Holtz tag was so much fun to make! I recently bought some Micro-Glaze and was wanting to give it a whirl. It's awesome! It's a waxy substance that you rub over your work and it acts as a seal and resist to protect it. My design does not stray from Tim's design except for some slight modifications to the embellishments. I really love the way it turned out!

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - June

It's almost summer, y'all! My version of this month's Tim Tag has a bright cheery summerlike feel. I couldn't wait to use my new Twisted Citron distress ink, and I gotta say, I love this color! Other colors used: Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, and Picked Raspberry.  I also used Tim's Sizzix "Fresh Brewed" Bigz die and his Harlequin layering stencil for this project.

I don't really know if Starbucks has a drink that looks anywhere near this color of green, but if they don't, they should.
